SSV, in cooperation with AIEL, has developed a specific protocol for calculating the efficiency of biomass boilers with a nominal power exceeding 500 kW. The calculation of the thermal efficiency is carried out either via a direct or indirect method, depending on the needs of the customer or on the specifications imposed by the control authority.

The evaluation is carried out on-site by means of measurements of the mass and energy flows entering and exiting the heat generator.

At the same time, sampling and analysis of emissions into the atmosphere are carried out to verify compliance with regulatory environmental limits.

The laboratory is accredited for the measurement of emission parameters.
