Stazione Sperimentale del Vetro is capable of carrying out a series of specific characterizations aimed at verifying both physical-chemical (e.g. release of metals, sulfides, ammonium, etc.) and functional (perforation force, fragmenting, etc.) compliance with the USP <381> standard for elastomeric caps used in pharmaceutical products, e.g. for the closure of bottles containing injectable solutions.
